Tbwoy || They Never Saw My Struggles, Only My Money

Tbwoy has opened up about the struggles he faces as a soldier, musician, and family man in his new song “My Shoes.” In the track, he reflects on how people constantly demand money from him, even though he has risked his life serving in war

He further reveals that some people even expect him to take responsibility for raising their children, something he admits is not easy to balance with his own responsibilities.

Through “My Shoes,” Tbwoy advises listeners to always put family first, work hard, and do everything possible to safeguard them financially.

I recorded this song while deployed in Iraq, amidst Israel and Iran’s conflict, receiving missed calls and voicenotes from my child when I couldn’t answer. Amidst uncertainty, strangers requested money from me on a daily without knowing what i was dealing with in all those months.

The song also captures his vulnerability as he shares his fears of what his family will eat in his absence, and the uncertainty of going to war without knowing if he will ever return alive.

My Shoes is a raw and emotional reflection of Tbwoy’s life journey — a reminder that people often judge without truly understanding what someone is going through.
