More Trouble for Mwizukanji in Yo Maps Custody Case Over Bukata
After months of seemingly positive relations, Yo Maps and Mwizukanji are once again embroiled in a legal battle over the custody of their daughter, Bukata.
Yo Maps, the biological father of Bukata and husband to artist Kidist, has formally submitted a request to the court seeking full custody of his daughter.
In his submission, the award-winning singer claimed that Mwizukanji, a well-known Zambian socialite and Bukata’s mother, has repeatedly failed to comply with existing court agreements.
According to Yo Maps, he has been consistently denied access to his daughter and was not informed when she was transferred from the school he had been paying for.
He also revealed that when he attempted to have Bukata attend her stepsister’s birthday party, Mwizukanji moved her from Lusaka to the Copperbelt region, despite him booking a flight for her to attend.
Given that Mwizukanji is now married, the house is now winging 7 children including 2 brought by the hubby.
He argued that such an environment is not suitable for Bukata and insisted that she would be safer and better cared for at his residence.
